Several contacts from Belgium and abroad have asked me which nutritional supplements I consider to be the most useful in ME/CFS management. Very difficult to answer. It really depends on your individual constitution, on your specific disease history, on which symptom complexes are the most prominent in your situation, not in the least on the amount of money you can spend.... However, there are some well-documented nutritional substances that have proved to be beneficial for many ME/CFS patients. They deal with underlying pathologies like cytokine imbalances, leaky gut and intolerances, oxidative and nitrosative stress, glutathion depletion, subclinical inflammation, etc...
So I will give it a try anyway.
This is a (non-limitative) list of supplements that can really be helpful in ME/CFS. They are my favorites. None of these substances are “magic bullets”, but they do help in correcting specific deficiencies and imbalances over time.
Zinc (zinc monomethionine , zinc carnosine)
Selenium (L-selenomethionine, selenocysteine)
NAC – N-acetylcysteine
Glutamine
Curcumin (Turmeric extract)
Omega-3 fatty acids (EPA/DHA)
Betaglucans 1,3-1,6 (shiitake extract, pleurotus extract,...preferably not yeast extracts)
Alpha lipoic acid
Coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone or ubiquinol)
B-vitamin Complex
Chitrak (Plumbago Zeylanica)*
Do remember to adjust your diet and lifestyle, and please seek the guidance of a medical professional who is knowledgeable about ME/CFS.
*Please do not start intake of Chitrak if you are underweight or suffering from gastric problems (ulcers, acid reflux, etc...) or show any signs of inflammation in your gastrointestinal tract. If you are on Chitrak, immediately stop the intake whenever you feel any discomfort in the stomach region.

You forgot a very important one; Magnesium!
But note that most of magnesium supplements are not absorbed efficiently. Search google for more info....
